Asus TI4400 problems

Has anyone experienced problems with the Ti4400 on a shuttle AV49N motherboard?
My Windows 2000 hangs with this combination. This consistently happens immediately on boot up before any dialogue box (e.g. "Preparing Network connections") are displayed.?
The motherboard is spec'd to support upto AGPX8.
