asus ti4200 lockup problems )= help please

hi im new to these forums...i bene lurking around for a few months and finalyl decide to post cause my computer is driivng me crazy....

i am running a asus ti4200 video card the v8420 with 128 mb and it runs fine when im doing like word processing, watching a dvd, or surfing the net but when i try to play games or run anythign graphically intense i'd get a blue screen and my comp would lock up...how would i go aobut fixing this...i have a 350W power supply which i think is adequate...its been like this for months but i just kept bearing with it..thanks in advance

its always been doing this...since i got my video card...is it possible that not enough power is being sent to the card causing the lockup? like would increasing voltages help?

Now I know I am not the only one...
I have two systems (PIII 800mhz, AMD TB 1.4ghz) and 3 Nvidia cards (Geforce 1, 2, 4).
No matter what I do, I will get a blue screen or comp locking up if the system is running a detonator driver version over v27.20
I have no idea what's going on but I have no problems with ATI cards (radeon 8500, 9700 pro) even with the newest drivers.
So I guess u should try the older detonator drivers.
By the way, my system is running with an Antec 400W psu.

you might want to try a clean format. clean up the previous drivers. on the other hand, it might be heat issue

yeah i been formatting my comp over and over reinstalling all the drivers and such..rite now for my video card im using the microsoft drivers..not even the detonators and its still doing the same hting
