Got asus ti 4200 off ebay. Bios looked okay but windows start up had columns of of blocks of wrong color. Desktop looked ok, but as soon as I installed drivers, desktop was totally corupted and crash. Reinstalled windows and all that looked ok, but same problem when totally installed. It did accept old drivers once, but were missing icons and weird stuff like that - totally unusable. So installed it in my main rig and same thing. So memory gone or what?

Strange thing is the card came in a nice origional box with several games.

Damm, trouble with refund is I have to pay return shipping and may never see the refund. Oh well was not expensive.

Is funny that it works well in safe mode, but nothing else.

Is that the V9280?

I've had 4 ASUS V9280 Geforce4 ti4200 video cards fail on me in one years time. They were all run at stock speeds, no OCing. I think ASUS had a run of bad cards. They are "upgrading" me to a later revisio of the same model #. BFD!

Yes it is a v9280 and should still be on warranty, but I have no receipt and cannot verify that it wasn't overclocked. The guy hasn't responded to my emails so all I can do is the negative feedback.

I believe ASUS will honor the 3 year warranty.
