If you are disappointed with ASUS updates, be warned it only gets worse with just about anyone else. :)

If I could unlock my tablet I wouldn't care. Would be running some CM. But because I RMAed my tablet the unlock tool won't work, and so I can't flash any updates.

Why did you RMA your tablet when you could have returned it for a refund or an exchange for the Transformer Pad Infinity?
Where did you buy yours from and why didn't you get a refund or get the Transformer Infinity as an exchange?

Lots of people got refunds for the Transformer Prime through BestBuy and Amazon. There are lots of threads with massive pages on XDA of people doing that. Amazon and BestBuy were happy to accept them.
I'm assuming you bought it more than a year ago. If it's still less than a year, return it for a complete refund or an exchange to the Transformer Infinity.

That isn't the only problem. Small or not, it's a needless waste of space on a tablet screen to create a separate system bar from the button bar. It's not big, but it's more than a few pixels too.

The other problem is now you have the 3 big buttons in the middle of the screen, not as easy to reach, pressing the spacebar on the onscreen board results in frequent accidental hits of those now centered buttons.

It's like someone at Google checked their brain at the door when they decided to put this on a tablet. They preach to app developers to make their apps more tablet optimized then do the exact opposite with Jelly Bean. Haha.

And a lot of apps don't hide the buttons or notification bar like I'd like. Chrome browser is a big one.

I can agree with the bottom bar, putting the Back/Home/Switcher buttons in the middle is a step back from the right hand corner. But I like the upper dual pull down bars, its space that wasn't used anyway and its a usability improvement with 4.2.x.

At least you will get it. I don't think my TF201 will. I will never buy another Asus device if I don't get 4.2.

I'd be rather surprised if the TF201 didnt' get 4.2.x, given its similarity to the TF300. The only major difference is that the wireless techs actually work in the TF300 models. :p You may just have to wait to Q2 or Q3 though. The low sales and design flaws of the TF201 have likely put it on the back burner.

Apparently Asus lets you toggle to the 4.2 setup if you like. Crazy.

Anyway, I'm sure all 3 Tegra3 tablets are getting updated.

You could have those pull down menus while still keeping the previous tablet UI though.
