Asus support

2-3 weeks to get an RMA back? Yep been through that. I had to email them about 12 times over the course of the process since most of the time nothing was happening until I emailed. Hell, they even claimed my board was physically damaged and wanted to charge me some fees and what not for whatever it was. After refusing the pay and claiming they did something to it, they changed their mind about it. Good designed boards, but support does sucks.

Does any company take less than 4 weeks yet on an rma?

Intel, for one. Corsair, for another. Both companies had a return to me within four business days of receiving the defective product sent to them.

I posted this because it seems to me Asus puts a premium on their motherboards compared to other manufacturers. Sometimes I will pay a premium for a one brand over another when I know that brand has good products and good support. Asus, for me, is no longer a brand I will pay a premium for.

Crucial and ATI also have extremely fast RMAs.

Gigabyte is the absolute worst, though. 8 weeks is not uncommon for them.

I agree. After reading this article I don't know if I'll ever buy an asus product again.

Well with Intel, say goodbye to OC. Last time I heard Corsair, Crucial, ATI don't make mb's. 😕

Fact is mb supprt from nearly all (not all) sucks. I've been using Asus, Abit, and DFI boards over the last few years and thankfully no rma's, but I would hate to initiate one from any of them.

Buy a mb and pray it works is the more likely scenario.........
