Well I purchased this Asus Strike II Extreme, put in an e8400 CPU, OCZ DDR3-12800 (1600) ram and attempted to OC to 1600 FSB putting my CPU at 3.6 (A cpu known to overclock to 4.0 on the Abit 680i motherboard before that board began to fail, the chip was taking out of an ASUS Rampage Formula running 3.6 at default voltages). Four evenings later I am unable to get this motherboard stable. I have the memory running with relax timming CL 9 versus the CL8 they are said to be capable of. The memory completed one pass of MemTest 2.01 at 1600 with CL 9 without errors. The first sign of trouble is the nvidia message of raid failure. Then either Vista 64 freezes or the last profile stopping running OCCT. Could anyone with success with this motherboard share some experience they might have learned overclocking this motherboard especially tips regarding the raid failure. Thanks in advance.
