I've got an asus a7n8x-x and the southbridge is unbearably hot to the touch. Is this typical of all motherboard southbridges? Is it possible to remedy this with a heatsink of some sort?

I don't know if it's typical but my Asus P5AD2-e board has a passive heatsink on it's south bridge. Also, having good case ventilation makes a big difference also.

But with the a7n8x-x, the southbrdige is somewhat covered by the video card and ram slots. I also have 2 case fans along with the 2 fans on my ps running in a mid tower, so there's plenty of ventilation. I searched for heatsinks for southbridges and got nothing. Anyone know where I can get such a heatsink? or whether keeping the southbridge cool is that important?
