how to remove the annoying "hit f4 to build a raid array" prompt during POST?

and why does my pci-express 6600gt report the bus speed as 8x.. shouldn't it be 16x? i'm running a single card..
 
Disable the Silicon Raid controller in bios, but only if you don't have any drives plugged into the Silicon ports.

Check and make sure your SLI selector is in the single card position, most boards come with it in the Dual position
