Finally got my mb to boot up but it will only boot w/ memory in the b1 slot. When I add the second memory into slot A1 it wont boot at all. Any ideas? THanks

Take the memory from b1 slot, put it in a1 slot and try now. If it does not work, it is the a1 slot and thus the MB is bad. If it does work, then the memory stick you replaced is bad.

get cpu-Z and check the timings of both DIMMS (you'll need to install windows for this). Boot up with your first DIMM, check the timing, and write it down. Turn off the machine, stick the 2nd DIMM in the slot, boot up, check the timings. For you to use both DIMMS at the same time they need to match.

Even if you bought a matched pair of DIMMs, you should still check the timings. I bought a matched pair of ram that didn't match.

Btw, you people should stop blaming the board. Most of the problems have been users not reading the manual and problems with other hardware.

If you have them in either the two blue slots or the two black slots then they will run in dual channel operation.

I tried both blue slots and black slots and refuses to boot with both installed. I even alternated between both sticks and they both work, but only by themselves.

Have you tried a different BIOS from the shipping 1002 revision? You haven't tried to overclock have you? I would boot with one stick and ensure that the BIOS defaults are loaded before trying to tweak anything.
