asus service blows

RMA'd a board, it arrived there june 9. they say on their website 8 to 10 business days. after 2 weeks has passed, i start calling in. after 3 phone calls, they finally shipped it out june 29 (or about a week after they should have). scheduled delivery: july 5.

so just now i call in fedex because i see that the package is at a 'local fedex depot' which is located about 3 miles from here, and i'd like to pick it up rather than wait. fedex tells me that asus called them on june 30th (last friday) to return the package to sender.

asus didn't bother to email me with that information, or why they're doing it.

asus happens to be closed for the long weekend, so a phone call doesn't get me anywhere.

between all the problem i and others have had with this board (starting with the anandtech review declaring the A8R-MVP to be a 'mainstream rocket'), and this crappy service, asus taken a couple steps backward imho. my a7n8x was the most stable and reliable thing on the planet, but apparently asus can't get their crap right anymore.

A also have had nothing but positive experiences when dealing with ASUS!!

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

The advantage of asus is that their product quality>j00 generally 😉

My A7V8X has been running my tbred-b at a massive OC since i got it over three years ago, with a northbridge heatsink so hot i can't touch it gaming/encoding, with absolute stability 😀

their product quality back then was second to none.

go read up on voltage fluctuations issues that they are apparently having with their current boards and get back to me on that quality claim.

the a8r-mvp happens to be the red headed step child of the asus line. they released the a8r32-mvp and then just completely ignored the earlier board, it seems like.

had anandtech not given them a giant advertisement with that article i likely wouldn't have gotten this board. i don't trust anandtech very much after that 'review' either.

Asus screwed me twice on a high end bd....they are not my choice of Mobo's any longer. I will never buy one again from them, its MSI or Gigabyte from now on.

Yea my asus is the same. Under a load it under volts the CPU. The reason I bought the board was it said you could adjust the cpu voltage. Of course you can;t. So I e-mailed them and got the "it will be in the next BIOS..." Well it again was not. Now they say it does not support cpu voltage adjustment. yet if you look up the board at asus it still says you can adjust the CPU voltage.

I will never buy another asus product.
