Asus Sabertooth Z77 - Slow BIOS

Hey Guys and Gals,

Looking for a little help on a new system build.

The system
Asus Sabertooth Z77 (BIOS 1504, latest release)
Intel i7-2700K
Corsair H100 cooler
Corsair C70 case
4x 4GB Corsair RAM
Sandisk Extreme 240GB SSD (BIOS R201, latest release)
Nvidia GTX 670
LG RW-Blueray drive
Razer Blackwidow keyboard\Razer Copperhead mouse

The problem
Everything is running fantastic with the exception of a slow BIOS initialisation. The total boot time is trippled due to the BIOS that hangs for 20-30 seconds.

During this time the Boot_Device_LED is lit up.

Steps I've tried
I've disabled the ASMedia 1061 controller (both front and rear)
I've verified the booth priority is optical and SSD drive only (BIOS had detected the printer as a mass storage device).
updated the firmware on all device that I could (motherboard and SSD)

At this point I'm looking for thoughts on what I need to check next...

Any help is much appreciated!

Did u try making the SSD the first boot device... or the problem seems to be before it gets to finding the first boot device

I just double checked, primary boot device is the SSD drive and secondary is set to the blueray.

Third boot option is disabled.

I had the same issue when I built my Sabertooth Z77 rig, I had a bad Rosewill card reader, did the exact same thing you are experiencing, hung at ASUS boot logo for at least 30 seconds and boot device led was lit up. Unplugged the card reader BOOM booted up nice and quickly and no more boot device led constantly lit.
