Checking with http://canyouseeme.org/ results in this:

Can also add that this was tested with both windows firewall completely disabled, and with added exception on incoming connections.

You wrote 25565

In the Asus table it shows 26556

You need also to open the Port through the Computer Software Firewall.

Also you have know that a port can be open toward one specific LAN computer/IP.

Yeah i noticed that right after. I have tried it many times tho, so thats not the real issue here.

When it comes to the computer i did as i said try both with firewall disabled, and added the port in it. So that should be fine.

Not really sure what you mean by that last part, sorry

If you have tried many times, it sounds like you may have shot yourself in the foot well before this point that there are other settings you have changed that aren't detailed. You turned firewall off on the router and I assume it sounds like your computer as well which is living the dangerous life. Turn those back on ASAP and stick to the port forward settings.

As with most ISP modem these days, it probably isn't in bridge mode and has it's own firewall blocking such ports.

Which other settings could that be then? Keep in mind, i have done factory resets on the Asus several times, to make sure everything i have done is undone.

When it comes to the firewalls, of course those are enabled again. I only disabled them for a short period each time, just to see if it worked then. I'm well aware how important they are, and how vulnerable it gets with them disabled.

And i don't have a modem from my ISP. The Asus is connected directly to the box that converts the fiber optics cable to a RJ45 output, while the modem i got from my ISP is just sitting in a drawer. So there shoulden't be anything from the ISP that blocks anything then, but i am gonna give them a call tomorrow and double check.

May be you would to describe what is that you try to achieve with this Open port.

At the beginning of the thread I can see this.

Asustor NAS - static IP

https://support.asustor.com/index.p...192/22/how-to-connect-my-nas-directly-to-a-pc

https://www.google.com/search?q=Asustor+NAS+-+static+IP&ie=UTF-8

-----------------------------------------------

That is a function of the Asus Router that enables the NAS to have varies forms of controls.

Port 25565 is the port used for Mindcraft server -http://www.tested.com/forums/please-help/12154-opening-port-25565-hosting-a-minecraft-server/

P.S. In General, the last few years trying to help online turned more to task of Guess what my problem is? Rather than to provide real Help.

Does ASUSTOR NAS has its own firewall?

Download tools from here

https://www.advanced-port-scanner.com/

Scan within your LAN first, see if the port is open.
It does have its own firewall, but for the time being its set to allow all remote connections.

Im not sure If it has more settings that could interfere, I haven't been able to find them in that case. Can post screenshots tomorrow after work

Only allowing remote access is not enough. You have to find where to configure firewall rules in ASUSTOR NAS and allow traffic to go through port 25565.

You do have the box ticked for Enable Port Forwarding on the Virtual Server / Port Forwarding tab, correct? I used to have that router and I can't recall if that box had to first be ticked to actually set up a port forward.

For grins have you tried to set up some different port numbers to see if they are then open?

That box is ticket yeah, I've made sure of that.

I have tried opening some different ports yeah, but I still need something to run/listen to them to see if they are open I figured
