Asus rt-n66(?)

I was planning on getting the RT-N66R. I can get it locally at BestBuy for $129. So I searched online to find it cheaper, and all I can find on that model is refurbished ones on Newegg, and used ones on ebay. It seems the RT-N66U replaced it? BestBuy doesn't carry that model, and Newegg has it on sale for $126. Is my assumption correct, the 66U is the newer model/version of the A/B/G/N routers? I have no need for an AC model.

the "R" and "U" models are the same thing.. the only difference is the "R" is packaged for Retail outlets such as BestBuy, Walmart.. the "U" or Universal models are for sale via online vendors such as Newegg, Amazon, etc..

Thanks. So I can pay $129 + tax locally and get points, or buy the same thing, in the same packaging with a different letter at the end for $3 less on sale? If they are the same thing, then why is the online price for the "U" version so much more?
