Asus routers and AsusWRT... makes a good, easy-to-configure Repeater.

Asus routers are very versatile, even with the stock AsusWRT firmware.

The cheap RT-N12/D1 models (N300 2.4Ghz only), make great little repeater bridges, when you set them up for "Repeater Mode". Saves a lot of extra configuration changes that you would have had to do manually when using, for example, DD-WRT.

Under $15 a pop, too, refurb.

At under 15$ a pop for refurb, that is a good deal, doesn't hurt to have a few spare as N300 speeds are sufficient for many. But I do believe asus has an N300 3-mode repeater, bridge and access point model that sells around that price point but also used or refurb, making the RT-N12/D1 really a good deal at under $15 - nice find!
