It's a nice looking power supply for those who have windows in their cases, and it's a slightly altered Seasonic Focus unit, so quality is not a concern. And like Seasonic offers on it's new Focus series, it also comes with a 10 year warranty.

The article mentions the price is too high compared to competing products, but honestly right now there's not much difference between it and other mid-range quality units out there (Seasonic availability is not good at places like Newegg right now).

As far as I can tell, it's based on Focus FX. What's interesting is that it appears to be modified in a way which removes the issue known with post-fix FX, that being failure of OPP to trigger even at levels where the unit begins to ripple to a dangerous degree.

actually... the reports I got indicate it as a GX base now, though with bigger heatsinks and such

and there's actually quite good availability of the antec and phanteks focus units like amp and neo eco, so it's not really a concern

It's overpriced, but good
