Asus ROG Max Hero VIII vs z170 Pro Gamer

Have narrowed my choices down to these two. Any thoughts or advice before I pull the trigger would be much appreciated.

Price difference with promo-codes & mir's is $65 ... enough to pay for a Corsair H75 AIO cooler.

Most interested in info to help decide between these two MB's BUT if you have another option to suggest feel free.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of those two, but I would also perhaps look into this one as well. As much features, awesome overclocking and about 50$ cheaper in the end, almost for that H75 AIO cooler 😉

I have the Deluxe which I believe is the top end of the channel line that the Pro Gamer is in. If I didn't need the bluetooth or the Wi-Fi, out of the 2 in your OP, I'd choose the Hero.

A good friend of mine just built a system with that Asrock board and a 6700k and he's very pleased with it so far. My only concern is the BIOS fan-control seems to require PWM fans while both the Asus MB's can also do DC rpm control on 3-pins.

The Hero is $189 with no tax & Shoprunner free 2ed day at Newegg right now... thinking I'm going to pull the trigger.
