Hello,

I was wondering if any of you could tell me if I could SLI two of these cards:
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=62188&vpn=MATRIX GTX580 P/2DIS/1536MD5&manufacture=ASUS

I have this case:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811352005

this motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157250

Will they fit? If so, will the lack of space cause heat problems significant enough not to use them? I already have one of these.

I am running an i5-2500k@ 4.2 w/ a Noctua D-14 cooler and 12 gb of ram (would have been 8 but that is a long story).

Any help would be appreciated thanks. I would compare them myself, but I am waiting for its arrival since I traded my cards for one.

No, it won't work. You could feasibly plug them both in because your motherboard has 3 PCIE slots and you could use 1 & 3, but the bottom card is going to not have room.

I have a much bigger case than you do and I could not fit a third card in my bottom slot.

Make your life easy if you are set on custom cards and get the MSI Lightning model, triple slot cards are a bad idea for multi-gpu configs.

I trading my 6950's for one, because I cannot stand / or have the patience to deal with those drivers.

I guess I could sell it cheap and get me a nice Lightning. I guess I just jumped the gun.

What's wrong with the drivers?

They are a travesty. Honestly, they have been dropping the ball BIG TIME compared to NVIDIA for recent games. I am just afraid that trend will continue, and that is just something I am too impatient for.

Have you looked or seen the amount of workarounds people have had to create in order for their games to work properly with (in more cases than Nvidia) AMD drivers?

It is quite obvious, for now, that AMD drivers are inferior to the Nvidia drivers :). Like I said, I am impatient. I loved the 6950's, finally got Skyrim to work perfectly. I just decided to not want to do that again.

Ok...

I'm done here before this turns into a mess.

Why? What can you say that proves otherwise? Sure, Nvidia is not without it is problems. However, everywhere you look you can see why people are starting to recommend Nvidia over AMD.

I am not trying to start a war or anything; I would just like to know how you can disagree with this at this point in time?
