Asus RMA experiences?

I've been reading over various forums as to folks' experience with Asus' RMA process. Seems some folks have had good experiences and others haven't had the greatest experience. The thing I'm most curious about is the turnaround time. Asus lists a 10 business day turnaround time for their RMA process. I'm just wondering if its usually that long or if its quicker. I know they received my video card on Friday so I'm just wondering around how long it'll be before I receive a replacement card.

Unfortunately, consumer-oriented support tends to be hit or miss. Sometimes its very quick, or sometimes you end up in the same position as a friend of mine, who sent in a laptop for repair and didn't receive it for two months.

Although it's a bit late now, my advice would be to go with an advance RMA (or cross-ship, or whatever the vendor calls it). When I've done an advance RMA, I've never had it go south.

Every manufacturer has problems with RMA. I've heard either great or horrible reports for ASUS, EVGA, XFX, GIGABYTE. All you can really do is look for companies who have a reputation for making good quality parts so you don't have to RMA at all. That is all you can do.
