Asus Rev 3.0?

Now i have to accept the only way for me to get things in the US is amazon, im interested in this board.

But i´ve been checking something happened to asus with this models and they later started shipping the same boards with a Rev 3.0 label on them meaning that they corrected whichever mistake they made with their previous Model and those boards are 20 buck more expensive than this one.

So, i was wondering, do you guys know if that was a hardawre mistake or if it would be possible to get this 50 bucks model and simply update the bios to rev 3.0.
