Asus refines AMD core unlocking

To enable it, in the BIOS, go to the Advanced tab - CPU configuration and set ACC to Auto before enabling "Unleashing Mode". This opens up another option underneath that allows the user to specify which cores they want unlocked, providing more than one is hidden.

🙂

Good luck!

I think ASUS has been calling ACC "Unleash Mode" for quite some time. I never say no to an improvement/refinement, though. 😉

does unlocking more cores kill how far the overclocks can go? would it need more voltage?

Unlocking is always at your own risk. There is no guarantee that the cores will work correctly. This is why the Asus boards give you options to unlock specific cores from the ones missing.

Also, since you will have more cores to overclock, it is highly likely that you may require more voltage, but it's impossible to tell which cores will need more voltage and which core needs less voltage. As long as you maintain reasonable voltages on air cooling, you should be fine.
