Asus Rampage IV Formula (Socket 2011) question

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about switching to socket 2011 and the Rampage IV Formula has caught my eye. I really like everything about this board except one single thing:

It uses lots of power compared to other X79 boards.

Now I know X79 isn't exactly the most efficient platform out there, but this is a bit much. Is there a way to lower power consumption by tweaking some values or disabling not needed parts (sound, Firewire etc.)? I don't need the highest OC.
