ASUS Rampage Formula and Quad Core 9650

Hello

I was planning to pick up the ASUS Rampage Formula along with the Core 2 Quad Q9650 CPU. According to the compatibility information put up by ASUS it seems like only BIOS version 0407 and newer will be supporting these CPUs. Assuming the board I get has an older BIOS version will I even be able to get into the BIOS to flash it to a newer version or will the system not even boot up as it will not recognize the CPU? I do not have an older CPU lying around that I can use to boot up the system just to update the BIOS to a version newer than 0407.

You should be able to get into a flshing utility to update the bios if needed. Hopefully the board won't need an update.
