Asus Q-Fan experiences?

Does Q-Fan work for you? I've read some posts where people cannot get this to adjust the fan speed, but I'm not sure if this is because of user-error or some limitation of the BIOS.

I am planning to use it with an overclocked Q6600. Looking at the temp options I'm not sure if the max Q-Fan CPU temp is high enough because the Q6600 especially runs hot. I guess this could make Q-Fan stuck at max fan speed all the time.

I use it to run the radiator fans and one chassis fan with 60% or 80% rpm. To get that extra level of silence if I want to render something overnight.
But I dunno if it would raise the fan speed if temperatures got critical because I haven't gotten close to a high temperature with my water cooling yet. 🙂

What I dislike with my P5K is that there are 4 chassis fan connectors and it seems only the first three are monitored. Oh and Bios reports them ok, PC Probe reports one as having 19000 rpm which probably isn't true because my chassis isn't hovering above the ground. But Qfan seems to work ok.
I can't for the life of me get Speedfan to reduce fan rpms...the whole program seems a bit "strange" with all the "automatic fan speed" boxes and maximum, minimum stuff.
