ASUS Problems, and major ones at that

I have a P4S800D-E Deluxe, and I am having problems with it.
It only boots up once every 2 times, exactly, it boots, then the next time it doesnt, repeats , and it gives errors saying OCing has failed, but it isnt even OCed when booting.
It has a P4 @ 2.8GHz stock.
Anything you need to know to solve this?
I am really having problems and cant boot without extreme diffuculty.
The Rig in my profile isnt what this problem is about.

Did you remove the battery and jump the pins on the clear CMOS header or just remove the battery?

i just jumped the pins on the clear CMOS header, I did not take out the battery
i think jumping the pins effectively took out the battery cuz when i put them back i got a message that said low power on battery, and the computer's clock was set to 12:00

I have no idea what to do next.

You remove the batt first then short the pins Did you know that clearing your CMOS sets the bios settings back to default. You need to enter the bios and re-enter your settings I would replace the batt if the voltage is low. Here is a link to the Manual My son has the P4S800D-X version which I built for him so I know the board yours just has the wifi feature
