ASUS Probe software

I have recently upgraded my PC's motherboard and CPU to an Athlon XP 1700+ and an ASUS A7V8X and seemed to have no problems. After installing the OS and the ASUS Probe software I noticed that the chasis coooling fan monitor is returning a reading at times in the negative RPM range. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so, what can I do to resolve the issue?

Thanks for your help!

Asus Probe has always seemed a little buggy to me. Good thing they can run traces and build motherboards better than they can program. I have not experienced this exact problem, but I find it to be a pain to run the soft ware all the time. I tend to just start it up when I am o/c and benchmarking to keep a good eye on the temps.

Haven't had that problem, but I don't use it much.

As mboy said, you'd be better off in another forum if you really want answers....:)

Asus probe actually saved my ass about a year ago. After my computer started getting unusual blue screens, I ran it... and turns out the voltages have been all jumping around like crazy (the phone line that connects to my cheap ass modem had excess voltage, or "noise" as the phone company called it when I called repair). Thanks to the probe, the only thing that fried was the cheap ass modem.
