I have used Intel CPUs for over a decade, but now I am ready to give AMD a try.

One motherboard of interest is the ASUS Prime X570-Pro Ryzen 3 AM4. Would this motherboard be compatible with the
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - Ryzen 9 5000 Series Vermeer (Zen 3) 12-Core 3.7 GHz Socket AM4 which I am also interested in?

Also, a special concern is the warning
  • BIOS update might require for AMD Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 series CPU
I don't have any other AMD CPUs to work with, and I don't want to be unable to use the motherboard because I can't update the BIOS so that the CPU becomes usable.

Not sure your pockets or needs but the 5600x is on sale on Amazon, $199, I just bought one, going in a new Rog Strix B550F-Gaming.

Hardware compatibility specs, Asus lists them on their site.

I have this motherboard if you are buying this brand new it will come with a bios that is current enough for a 5900X. I would not worry about having to flash the bios.
