Asus Premium SLI + Zalman 9500 - Mounting question

I have an Asus SLI Premium mobo, and apperently the zalman 9500 cannot be mounted in an east/west position so that it blows air towards the rear exhaust fan in the case. The techs at my store said the mobo does not have clips to mount it this way, and it can only be mounted in a north/south position, blowing air either towards the PSU or down on the vid card, which doesnt make sense for me in my case, since the case I have is a TT Armor. Anyone can confirm this?

Not true my friend. I have installed my 9500 effortlessly. With a side fan blowing directly on the fins as well as the cooler fan blowing out of the rear my temps have dropped considerably. I know this cooler is a bit expensive but it is well worth it.

So you have to use the bracket provided with the zalman 9500, taking off the stock motherboard one, voiding the warranty? I guess thats why the techs said it can't be done cause they have strict policies.
