ASUS Pencil Mod for reducing vdrop / vdroop

Any ideas why I can't get the pencil mod to work for me? I have ~ .08 vdrop from set vcore to idle vcore, and another 0.1v vdroop under load. Almost 0.2v total!

I've tried the pencil mod numerous times, even while the board was running, and I can't seem to make any headway at all in reducing the vdrop/vdroop. Using a HB, 2B, 4B, and even a 6B cleaning between applications but no change in voltages.

I'm ~1.375 to 1.400 vcore in BIOS to get it stable under Prime95, but I want to get my temps down a little.

have u tried to update ur bios to latest?

gigabyte has tried to imitate the pencil mod by including an option called loadline calibration. when enabled would be similar to enabling the pencil mod for vdroop.

Yes, I have been running the latest BIOS ( 0503 ) since the git-go. It doesn't have any option like you describe, maybe in a later BIOS.
