I just set this up and was hoping some other PB278Q owners could post their settings so I have a place to start.

I have turned down the brightness and using DVI-D dual link.

Just moved from 23" IPS panel and this is going to take a little adjustment.

Thanks!

This is in user mode
Brightness 27
Contrast 80
Everything else default

When I'm watch movies I like the sRGB
Brightness 75

Everything else default.

Let me note that it seems this monitor gets better with age, I really didn't like it at first, but now I could never go back to my old Samsung.

Thanks. I have my Contrast a little lower. Brightness was already around 27. User Mode.

What's not to like? ;) I moved from an IPS, so maybe that made it easier to make the transition. Still trying to get used to how much bigger it is.

Edit: The Quick Start guide was not in English except for the headings. Numerous other languages. Had to use my laptop to find a PDF in English to make sure I attaching the base correctly. OSD buttons still a PITA like most other monitors. Like that I can turn off the power light like my other monitor. The position of it underneath the bezel is better than on the front and makes it less noticeable when on.

Found this @ Overclock.net
Asus PB278Q: The Official 2560x1440 Semi-Glossy PLS Thread.

Brightness: 27
Contrast: 80 (Default)
Saturation: 50 (Default)
Hue: 50 (Default)
Color Temp: 6500k
Gamma: 2.2

Go to the advanced settings and go to the Gain menu:

red: 47
green: 47
blue: 41

Under the Offset menu:

Red: 50
Green: 49
Blue: 57

Set the Trace Free (controls the pixel response times) to 20 to get rid of the overshoot ghosting.

The 1.8 gamma setting does not work properly since it averages around 3.8=extremely dark colors with extreme black crush. Do not use the 1.8 Gamma setting!

EDIT: Those settings look pretty good.

Thanks for the settings. I had ran across these somewhere else on the net. Personally the advanced and offset changes did little to my eyes, which is why I didn't bother mentioning them. I read changing the trace to 20 helps with overshoot ghosting, but I'm not senistive to this either.

As my monitor has broken in more(probably dimmed some) I'm liking the warm look of the sRGB, which wasn't the case at all when I first got it.
