Little disappointed that there's no MicroSD slot and that its launching on ICS. Those 2 will probably push me more towards the LG Nexus than this. Nevertheless I would still get this over the GS3, OneX+ or Optimus G.

Anyone else excited about this?

Between this and the LG Nexus, I really don't know which one I want more. Guess I'll have to wait until I see the announcements for both

Very, very interested... I really do think it would be convenient to combine either a phone and a tablet, or a phone and a netbook (I'd prefer the latter, tbh), but so far the docking mechanisms have been awkward and not confidence inspiring...

What's wrong with the 2100mAh battery? That's the same size as the Galaxy S3 and it's got a larger screen. Plus the tablet also has a battery inside it.

Probably not something I'd buy, but I do have to hand it to ASUS for at least trying something different in this space. It might be a somewhat niche product, but I like that they're trying different things.

Seeing as Asus tend to use vanilla OS, with just the launcher skinned, I would choose this over the LG Nexus.

Interesting concept but I'd have to handle one in person before thinking about getting one, it's hard to judge how well the connection works from pictures and even videos.

I've told myself I would never buy a non-nexus phone, so I guess by default I can't get one.

Looks interesting to say the least....Price dependant of course.

I envision the iPad mini as something similar. Figure it's about the only way it would fit price wise....But then again the iPhone 5 seems to be too fragile to slide in and out without damage.

I think it was, but just not in the US or a lot of other territories.

The original Padfone actually also had an optional Transformer keyboard... hilarious.

It looks like a very good idea for those who needs a phone & a tablet.

But in reality, who wants to swap the phone in and out that tablet? Besides, you can't use the tablet alone! The sales will never take off.
