ASUS P9X79 WS motherboard USB3.0 controller not detected by windows 7 :(

I've just finished setting up the system with Windows 7 Ultimate and flashed the bios to the latest version.

After installing the ASmedia USB 3.0 drivers none of my USB 3.0 devices get detected and I cannot find the controller in device manager as well.

I double checked the BIOS and made sure the ASMedia USB3.0 controller is enabled. Could it be that the controller is dead? I tried both the ports on the motherboard as well as the front panel USB3.0 ports and none seems to work 🙁
