My new asus p9x79 is not reading the second video card i have installed for SLI. I have tested every possible physical configuration to eliminate every other possibility. I know the slot works on some levels, due to the fact that I put my Asus STX sound card (PCI-E 1x) into it, and it worked. I also tried making the primary video card run in the second pci-e 16x slot, with no result. I have made sure both cards work by installing them separately as the primary video card in the first slot, and they both worked. They are the same cards, both of them new EVGA Nvidia 660 Ti Superclocked w/3gb memory. I have updated my graphics drivers, updated my bios, with no new results. Can anyone shed light into this situation?
