Microcenter has this bundled with an i5-3570K for ~$265 + tax. It has all the features I need, I am just paranoid of all the DOA and bent pin comments on newegg:

I don't have to go this route if it's a valid concern, what do you guys think?

It's a good price, and if the board has the features you want, I'd get it. Every manufacturer has problems, even ASUS. But despite reviews, at least a majority of the boards will ship problem free. If you do get a funky board, I'm sure Microcenter could exchange it for you. Just verify everything looks good before you install the CPU.

I personally would never buy an ASUS mobo without the bios flashback feature

Any bios failure\bad flash and you have no options, other than to buy a new chip
