Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe, how many revisions?

Is there more than one revision of this board? Googled it and am finding prices $35 cheaper than Newegg and I'm wondering if the cheaper ones are earlier revisions?

Thanks,
BGC

There's only one revision for the entire P8Z77 family, but there are a number of subtypes like P8Z77-V Pro and P8Z77-V LK, so maybe you're seeing one of those. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you assuming we're talking about reputable sellers. You'll always find deals that are too good to be true if you're including fly by night type operations, or places which may be rather lax in correctly labeling used parts as used, etc.

Thanks. The sellers were Amazon (sold by Amazon, not fulfilled by) and Walmart. It was the same Deluxe model.

Not sure I'd order from Walmart, but on the plus side you could probably return it to the local store.

Yeah, that gets into the specific contracts we have with different resellers. That is well beyond the scope of my job, and even if I knew the particulars, I wouldn't be able to share them with you.

@cl-scott, I think the OP's question is rather clear and concise. He's asking about one specific board model (p8z77v deluxe), not about series variations.

I'm sure this is still as much the case now as it was in the past. Board revisions come out as certain bugs/issues are resolved on a hardware level that cannot be fixed via bios update. Or perhaps some change in manufacturing process or component supplier.

Granted, a low volume reseller maybe selling customer returns as new to be able to afford lower prices. Best to always check the return policy, pay with a credit card, and do your research about the vendor if something sounds too good to be true.

Rev # under the white pcie slot, immediately to the right of the model #. Mine says 1.02 too, bought ~3 weeks ago. Obviously not just one revision. Not sure if v1.00 or 1.01 ever made it to market.

Mine is 1.01, and at one time the Asus website had different pages for the different revisions of this board. Now it has just the one page.
