Asus P8Z77 Premium Build...Questions

Im putting a system together with an Asus P8Z77 Premium, 3770k, Crucial M4 128gb ssd , WD 1TB Black HD, etc , etc.

I havent built a New system for over 3 yrs and am wondering abit about ssd setup.

The premium comes with an msata ssd. What would be the most ideal setup with these ssd for performance. Im ising the WD as storage.

Should I instal the os on the msata or should I go about another way. just lookin for some input as I havent dealt with ssd or raid for that matter.

Thanks

Most guys are running 2 small SSD (120GB) (using 2281SandForce controller) in RAID 0 and a Corsair H-80 H-100 integrated watercooler if case is big enough.
Starting with Nov 2011 firmware, most of the detection issues are gone. I personally prefer the Patriot Pyro SE drives.

The Premium has so may features you could spend the next month investigating. However these guys have put together a review that is so info packed they should be given some kind of award by ASUS.
Must read.

The mSATA drive would be best used as cache for a larger HDD using Intel's Smart Response feature or for Rapid Start.

Use your Crucial M4 for boot (OS).

You can upgrade the mSATA drive to something larger (256GB) and then use it as a boot drive, but I do believe the mSATA port is SATA II.

I would like to see ASUS sell the Premium without a mSATA drive. $440 is just too much.
