Asus P8Z68-V problem

hi all

hope you can help me ive just about run out of ideas.
built a new system:

Asus P8Z68-V
I5-2500K
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB 2X4
GAINWARD gtx295 GPU
thermatake toughpower 750w psu
2x spinpoint f3 1TB hard drives
Windows 7 64bit

the problem is the motherboard recognises the gtx 295 but after instaling the nvidia drivers and rebooting im getting no 3D.
ive tride the gpu in anouther pc and it works fine.
ive tried an ATI HD 4870 in the Asus P8Z68-V and it woks fine.
ive tried the gtx in all 3 PCIE slots but still not working.
i have the 0902 BIOS instaled.
really dont no wot else to do so any help would be much appreciated.

sorry m8 i may have missled you its not the 3d vision its 3d in genral.
what i should have said is that i cant play any games or run any 3d applications.
i dont have 3d vision.
the drivers instal but as soon as i restart my pc there dissabled.

Did you install the Intel chipset drivers?..also make sure all power cables are connected on the Nvidia GTX card.


Also which graphics drivers did you install ie gainward's?..Try the latest from Nvidia's website.

ok here is the instalation.

reset cmos useing jumper.
enter bios - set d-mode by turning on PCIE/PCI turn off IGPU.
Boot from dvd instal fresh copy of win7 64bit + service pack 1.
instal infinst_autol_9.2.3.1022.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) shows in device manager.
run dxdiag 64bit every thing looks ok -

DirectDraw Acceleration: Enabled
Direct3D Acceleration: Enabled

Instal NVIDIA 290.53-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit i get -

ive reseated the card ive chechd the cables i no the psu is fine.

If you have already run the Troubleshooting Wizard, you might want to check the hardware documentation for more information about diagnosing the problem.


I would remove the beta drivers and try the official Nvidia 285.62 ones (that's what I'm using on my Asus V/Gen3 with 560Ti card).

fixed :cool:

it was the service pack 1 slipstream belleve it or not.
ive installed everything just a few more drivers and ill let you all know the outcome.

wow i am so made up right now ive been at this for over a week.
be back soon guys.
and thank each and every one of you for the great suport to a new but very thankfull member.

confirmation guys every thing updated including service pack 1.
every thing including lucid lodgic instaled just fine :)

so again just for anyone having a video driver issue what i did was -

instal windows 7 64bit
instal infinst_autol_9.2.3.1022
instal graphics card drivers
update windows including service pack 1
instal all outher drivers
done

again guys i cant thank all of you enough for your support.
