Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 CPU FAN ERROR

Hi, just did my first out-of-case, no-drives POST test, all is fine, yippee, except saw a no cpu fan error, though I've got my CoolerMaster hyper 212 fans plugged into a Gelid PWM Y cable specifically to run two fans on the 212 through power management. I have the four-pin power plug that comes with the 212's fan plugged into the pwm socket and the other 3-pin fan plugged into the other socket of the Y cable, and that in turn plugged into the CPU fan pins, correctly oriented, on the motherboard.

Dun I wrong? Or is this normal before I go into bios with everything else plugged in?
