Anyone having this problem (not going into detail as you will know what I mean if you are experiencing it) Can you try unplugging you keyboard and mouse before you turn your system on and let me know if the post times drastically reduce. I just read that various USB devices can causes this issue especially keyboards with USB hubs on them. I tried it on my system and post times are back to the 8-10 seconds I expect rather than up to 30-40 seconds.
Please don't confuse this with any slow windows loading times you are having I am talking about the time it takes the mobo to post only, as every thread I have come across complaining about either issue has been hijacked by someone experiencing a completly unrelated issue.
