ASUS P8P67 Deluxe Bootup Issue

This is a continuation from a previous thread. I had the optical drive connected to #5 and not #6 on the Intel SATA port, and I loaded XP and all my drivers, and everything was working fine. When I went to partition the rest of the HD, I noticed that default letter for the next partition was E, and not D. I assumed this was because I had not put the optical drive on #6. I did this, and not my system won't boot into XP. I just get a flashing cursor and black screen. I tried switching it back, and it doesn't work. How do I get my system to recognize my OS installation again? Thanks!:'(

I figured it out. I had the HD with the OS on it connected to the Marvel SATA controller, and not the Intel SATA controller on the MOBO. I switched this, and I was good to go! Cheers! 😀
