Hello,

I'm about reinstall Win7 on my P7P55D-E Pro with my new SSD. I lost my motherboard CD, so I have to download individual drivers from the Asus website. But there are so many drivers, I'm not sure if I need all, some, or even any of them.

The list of drivers is here:
http://usa.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1156/P7P55DE_PRO/#download
(Select Win7-64bit from the dropdown)

I was going to just install the latest of each driver, but some categories, like SATA, there are three different drivers listed, so I don't know if I just take the latest, or do I take one of each.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Ooh. I'm glad you asked that question. I'm about to do the same thing. I have done this before and downloaded updates -- can't remember which I used: some are blind alleys and my stack of downloads is confusing. I too would like to see what other folks have to say.

Personally I try to use the latest from the manufactures direct first and if I cannot find it then i would uses asus's download

Intel Chipset

Audio = use the latest on Asus site

Realtek Lan

Intel RST (Sata)

And that should be it

Usb 3 Driver, use whats on asus's site

Sata - Use the latest ones for both the Marvel(2010.08.24 update) and Jmicron drivers(2009.12.04 update)

So far, so good. My Vertex 3 has hit 7.9 on the WEI. Don't seem to need the Intel stuff. Realtek, VIA are fine. Stuff from Asustek are fine.

This has been a big help.
