Hi All,
After a few months of rock solid performance on Windows 7 RC x64 my computer has started saying "Overclocking failed" during boot and generally behaving weirdly during post. I've also noticed that around the same time it started having trouble going to sleep. It used to go to sleep but now it's going to sleep and then almost instantly waking.

While the computer is up and running it does a fantastic job.

I haven't had time to narrow down the issue and remove some of the variables, but I was hoping someone on here could help my out with some clues or suggestions...

I haven't overclocked anything and I think the only properties I've changed in the BIOS are:
* Enabled SATA AHCI.
* Disabled Express Gate.
* Forced S3 sleep mode.

CPU: Intel i7 920
MB: Asus P6T
RAM: G.Skill 6GB Kit (3x2GB) DDR3 1600 PI
HDD: 150GB WD Veloci Raptor

I've updated the BIOS to that latest available on the ASUS website but it didn't seem to help...

Cheers,
Dan

I have the same problem. When the P6T goes to sleep, it never wake up. I did a hard reset, the rig reboot and said "overclock fail" and need to reset the Bios. Now I set the Windows power saving: Turn off computer to NEVER, so my computer will never go to sleep.

Annoyingly I can't seem to reproduce the "overclocking failed" error now. In an attempt to spend my way out of the issue I've picked up a new Antec 650 watt power supply and so far the issue hasn't occurred again...

The issue with the computer not being able to stay asleep turned out to the a 'wake on lan' issue. I followed the instructions listed here (http://www.michaelaulia.com/bl...ing-up-by-itself.html) and I can now sleep and resume as expected...
