Trying to figure out what drivers to get for the P6T. The disc that came with it just says that it doesn't support Win7. I figured the drivers on it probably aren't the most recent anyway, so I might as well find the right ones.

I've got the system up and running with the Win7 x64 RC version. After a bit of googling, I still can't find any real info about what drivers will work with it. Some people suggest trying the Vista x64 drivers, but I'm not sure if they'll work or screw something up.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Have you tried to install it? I have the R2E and didn't have to even think about a drivers disk for anything. The only driver I had to fool with was for my video card.

Yeah, it works ok out of the box, but some of the software for the audio features isn't there. Asus just posted new drivers for Win 7 today though. Installed the audio package and it works fine.

Hi,
I ve got the same mobo and am running the default Win 7 (64) drivers. The "beta" drivers on the Asus site are a waste of time because they are actually the same version as the Win 7 ones, at least the main mobo chipset ones are the same.

Do you have a problem with sleep mode with your system? I have found that my computer won t wake up from sleep mode unless I just shut it down completely and reboot. If I set my sleep settings to never shut off the hd, i don t have problems. I m using G. Skill ram, which I mention because I occasionally get a message when I restart saying my Overclock has failed and I have to enter Setup. However, I m not overclocking.

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue.

I have a similar issue with sleep mode on my P6T vanilla. It never goes completely into sleep and I cant wake it up without powering it off. I don't get the overclocking failed message though

Do any of you have this issue or know how to fix it?

I'm using Windows 7 RC 64bit with Asus P6T Deluxe V2 mobo and intel core i7 920 cpu

I installed the PC Probe II utility and it launched fine..everything worked great
I rebooted and then I tried launching that utility again and this error pops up *EVERYTIME* (asterisks for extra emphasis) :

Access violation at address 0040D8C9 in module 'aaCenter.exe'. Read of address 0019D6E6.

I did system restore to a couple hours before this and installed PC Probe II again, worked fine. Then I installed AI Suite and that worked great too. Then I installed EPU6Engine and that required a restart in order to complete the installation. After the reboot, same errors popped up for AI Suite and PC Probe II. In addition to this, the EPU engine doesn't even work because that error'd out too!

What the hell is going on here and how do I fix it? PLEASE HELP! Could this be because they're Windows 7 utilities which are in beta right now? If so, there must be a way to fix this right?

Appreciate the help.

I have the same exact problem. I updated my bios afterwards though to 0507 and now I am getting errors saying _____ does not support this model on top of all the other errors. I hope they come up with some updates soon to fix all of this. My expressgate even that I doubt I will use it is not working right either. I cant get AI Suite or PC Probe to work right. The audio works great though so far.

Mobo: Asus P6T
Ver: 0507
OS: Windows 7 64bit

All that have posted thus far: Asus probably won't post any significant drivers or updates to any of their utilities for Windows7 32/64. As for when Vista came out, Asus does not like to trump M$ on drivers and will only wait till Win7 RTM hits. Then you will see the updated driver, etc. Remember, Win7 is still a beta, even if it is called RC...

Well they do have drivers and utilities that there for Windows 7, so if they are not going to support Windows 7 until it comes out why would they have drivers and utilities for it (even that they don't work right)?

Just in case people still run into this issue. the old aacenter requires admin rights and potentially compatibility mode to run cleanly. So simply go to aaCenter.exe (C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\AASP\1.00.64 if in 64 bit mode) and right click on aaCenter.exe. Click on the Compatibility Tab and tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for" then select "Windows XP Service Pack 3" in the drop down. Also tick Run this program as an administrator.

That should solve things.

Asus P6T Deluxe v2 AUDIO with Windows 7.
I have played with this issue for ages. Delete the drivers for audio, uninstall soundmax, let windows install default drivers, go to control panel, manage audio devices, disable front panel speakers, enable speakers as default device.
Whether that is the solution if soundmax is installed, i am yet to work through that. Enjoy.
