Under Windows 7 x64, most of the installers for the various utilities that come with the ASUS motherboards complain that the board is unsupported or needs a BIOS update (even with the latest BIOS & Windows 7 beta versions of the utils downloaded from their site).

I finally figured out the reason for this is because the latest official driver for the ATK0110 (ACPI) that comes from Windows Update or the Win7 DVD isn't the Win7 version yet.

To fix this, get the beta AI Suite package for Win7 http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/AS...ta/AI_Suite_V10527.zip

The installer in this archive won't work as is.

After extracting the ZIP file to a directory, go to update driver software on the ATK0110 device showing the yellow ! in device manager, pick "Browse my computer for driver software", and select the directory where you extracted the zip.

Once this driver is installed, the AsusSetup.exe for this and the nice EPU-6 & PC-Probe utilities should work.

You can also find the ATK0110 ACPI Utility inside the Probe II installer, I extracted mine from a Vista install and they work just fine (32 bit Builds 7068-7201). Your post should be helpful to many, this usually solves the "Unknown Device" mystery.
