I had someone offer me a Intel i7 920 and ASUS P6T Deluxe Version 1 motherboard today for a really good price. Is there any disadvantages with going with the V1 of this board rather V2?

I have an Asus P5N-E C2D board right now and like Asus but I'm looking for a stable board that will overclock.

The older V1 Deluxe board did not officially support the fastest DDR3 memory speeds 2000(OC) 1833(OC) and 1800(OC). It only went up to 1600 and 12GB of RAM instead of 24GB. That and possibly some performance tweaks the put in the revised PCB V2. If you are looking to overclock I would get the V2 unless you get a really good deal on the V1.

I'm getting the i7 for $200 or the mobo and chip for $410 but if the board is flawed I'll spend the extra $$ and get V2 or just get the non-delux version.

I do plan to overclock as well.

Besides support for higher RAM speeds and 24 vs 12GB, V2 removed SAS controller which most don't care about. I think these are pretty much the only differences.
I have V1 and I know of no flaws. OCs pretty good too, there are plenty reviews out there...
I wouldn't pay more than ~$10 more for V2...

Don't get the non-deluxe version. That's where they skimp with the parts and use lower grade audio codecs (AD2000B vs. Realtek ALC???), ethernet PHY's (Marvell vs. Realtek) and possibly cheaper capacitors, etc.
