Hello Guys n Gals,

I am using Windows 8.1 64bit. I ran SIW utility and it shows my 3gb kit and 6gb kit installed in correct slots. But Bios is only detecting 6gb as usable. When I saw this I removed the ram from the board and reseated it and after that it showed 9gb but after a reboot went back down to 6gb. At this point I ran the system with 3GB kit and bios showed 1 or 2gb as usable. It is really strange because SIW was detecting all the chips in correct slots. There is no overclocking and this has setup been working fine for 2 Years. Mobo is P6T and ram is Corsair Vengeance.

My inner geek voice says, test the ram on a different x58 board and ensure RAM is OK then replace the board. What do you guys think? Anyone has similar experience with an Asus board or any other brand?
