I'm looking forward to replacing my ancient computer that has an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon video card....YEP! The first generation All-In-Wonder 32MB card that actually worked on some games that stated you need at least 64MB of video memory!
I'm buying the ASUS P5WD2-E Premium when it comes out soon that supports up to 1066Mhz FSB and want the best overclocking memory.
At http://www.syncmax.com/page34.asp there is the SyncMax 800Express DDR2 memory that supports up to 1066MHz FSB motherboards with 5-5-5-15 timings and withOUT a heat spreader for just $148 for 1GB (2-512MB sticks)!
Is this the best overclocking memory to use? It appears so based on the review at http://www.legitreviews.com/article/258/1/
Also, will the ASUS P5WD2-E Premium motherboard support the Conroe processor?
I have a Presler 2.8GHz on backorder at http://www.onsale.com and planning on getting the Diamond Max 11 400GB SATA 3 Gb/s!! and will partition 50GB for Windows XP, another 50GB for Vista or Windows 64bit, with the rest shared by both operating systems so I can play 64-bit games when needed.
Also, planning on buying the Nexus Breeze 500 Watt Silent PC Case to use with my Back-UPS Pro 500 and was planning on getting the ATI All-In-Wonder X1800 XL but not sure about the video card since the R580 cards may be out this month so maybe get a low budge cheapo one until they come out.
Also, thinking of getting a Plextor PX-716SA but wondering if Plextor will come out with one the supports Blu-ray and/or HD-DVD which I don't believe will happening anytime soon.
2006 is going to be a hell of a year for ATI/NVIDIA and INTEL/AMD and other nice technology such as Blu-ray and HD-DVD...WOW!
Looking forward to a new 'future-proof' computer since LGA-775 should last a while...I hope...and looking forward to video games that support 64-bit and multi-cores!
Anyway is the memory the best kick-**s overclocking memory on the planet and will this board support Conroe?
Thank you.
