Please forgive me if there is all ready a post on the forum regarding my issue. I am at work and have a very limited amount of time to search for answers/ask questions. My problem is this...
I had 3 hard drives hooked up to my P5W DH Deluxe, 2 of which were RAID 1. This past weekend, the RAID Array took a dump and corrupted about an eighth of my files.
I bought 3 replacement drives, deciding to take advantage of the MB's RAID 5 capabilities. Now I am stuck.
I've tried to hook all 3 1.5TB HD's up to the ICH SATA Ports and the Raptor (OS Boot Drive to the JMicron. The RAID Drives show up fine in the Intel Matrix Boot options, but can't boot the Raptor on the JMicron. I've also tried puting the boot drive in Port 1 on the ICH7 SATA Ports, 2 of the RAID Drives on the other 2 ICH7 ports, and the final on the ASUS EZ-RAID port. I can boot, the Intel Matrix Utility recognizes the RAID 5, but Fails after about an hour of initializing.
So, to sum up my problem, I am wondering how I can run my OS Drive and 3 separate drives (RAID 5) on the ASUS P5W DH? which Ports do I plug which drives in to? Is it even possible? Also, when I create the RAID 5, it only shows approximately 750MB. I'm using (3) 1.5TB Hard Drives...what gives? Thanks in advance to all ye smarter than me!!!
