ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe and Nvidia 7950 gx2

Anyone have any experiance useing the ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe and Nvidia 7950 gx2 together, or know if they are compatible? I have heard conflicting claims.

They run fine. Its the 965 boards that have issues with the GX2.

GX2 doesnt work because of an SLI bridging issue. Its supposedly fixable. Now that AMD has bought ATI, it gives nvidia more incentive to do SLI stuff on Intel machines, even if it is non-nForce.

SLI on 965. Gigabyte even included the SLI Bridge, I guess they're thinking the same thing.

There are a lot of conflicting answers to this. Both ASUS and Nvidia's web page do not have the p5w-dh and 7950 gx2 as working together..

Does anyone have HANDS on experience with these two items together?

Hitman runs silky smooth on our P5W/GX2. All settings are maxed. Our 3DMark06 scores were right in between the two review benchmarks done on the eVGA GX2.

I have an ASUS P5B DH Deluxe Wifi/AP board (965) working fine with an NVIDIA 7950GX2. Just got it finally put togeather yesterday. No issues.

I have evga card and that board.

The installed them yesterday.

8800 on 3dmark 6

2 giga corsair ram 6700 duo intel 2.7gh

all default settings no overclock.

Seems like Device manager sees 2 x the gfx card.

Multi gpu setting enabled at software with no erros.

Im no master but my scores and stuff shows they are working both inside the card ) the GPU ).

Cant be otherwise right ?

Anybody can confirm my values with 1/2 GPU fogures ?

Surely the card can SLI itself inside wether the board is Crossfire or SLI.

If you see on 7950 Gx2 there are Crossfire boards there too..... It only does not work if u try 2 x 7950 gx2 cards for QUAD.

U can get normal SLI with 1 card, and use its 2 processors, just not QUAD.... which is hardware sli.

Just as an added update, I bought the p5w-dh deluxe and a XFX 7950, and they DO WORK!

I have been gaming on it and every game works fine, 3dmark, etc.

Get it and enjoy it!
