Well, I got the top of the line Lian Li, which inverts the mobo, and I have had NO issues with a hot NB so far.

I even ran it with the case upside down for a while, and there wasn't even 1 degree of difference.

I guess it's only certain motherboards that have issues with these things.

Oh, and the case is INSANE. It's the Lian Li PC-V2100APlus II.

I am coming from a standard mid tower Antec case from like 4 years ago.

I guess I didn't realize how large these cases were. I got the box and was like, "Oh God"

Anyway, I'm loving it! :D

I bought a Lian Li V1200plus...returning it. Not even close temps compared to my el cheapo Antec P180. I'm almost confused. I set everything up correctly and my temps are 10C higher for my mobo and about 15C higher for my CPU....amazing.
I had a nice setup with both top fans on the P180 exhausting the air from my Scythe infinity and thick 120mm fan blowing into my cards.

In order to get the same temps on my Lian Li as I did on the P180, I had to drop voltage to 1.32 @ 3 Ghz from 1.55 @ 3.5 Ghz... Not to mention I had to reset my Cards OCs to default...

And yes, the case is huge and nice quality but looks aren't everything. Also, there's nothing there to muffle my Raptor

Well, I am running my E6600 at 3ghz at the moment, and my load temps on my CPU are 35c.

This is with a Zalman 9700 with AS5. The readings are with a temp reader I used with my old box. It's dead on accurate.

My NB doesn't get even remotely hot.

I'm more than psyched with this setup.

I dunno what the deal with your setup was, but this is running VERY COOL.

Also, it's almost dead quiet.

Well, the people who had issues with heat said they could NOTICE it simply by touching the heatsinks on the NB and such.

There isn't ANY heat to speak of anywhere. And my temps with the reader and in the bios are fine.
