Does anyone know if this board will support the dual core chips. I know the nVidia nForce4 SLI Intel edition will but haven't seen anything about this chipset.

i'm interested in this board too...mainly cause of the ati xpress chip with igp and better southbridge by uli compared to the one for amd cpus which is ati southbridge.
So yeah this board looks amazing and i think this... plus the new celeron D with 64 bit extensions will make quite a happy family.! :)

YUP support for dual core baby:
Here's an article I found:

"ATI chipsets are seeing some pretty big advances and as with most companies in this position, they are anxious to show it off. Working closely with a few select partners, ATI appears to be aligning themselves in such a way to offer maximum performance in the hardware they are offering.

ATI Technologies Inc. said Friday that customers had begun shipping boards based on a newly announced chipset for the Pentium 4 platfrom, the Radeon Xpress 200.

The Asus P5RD1-V board has begun shipping, ATI said. The chipset uses the Radeon X300 "core technology," the company said.

ATI is pitching the chipset at Entertainment PCs; as of now, the chipset is the only qualified chipset for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, the company said. Features include support for DDR-2 667 memory, DirectX 9.0 pixel and vertex shaders, and ATI's LCD Enhancement Engine. The Radeon Xpress 200 will support Intel's 775-pin processors, including its upcoming dual-core models.

"With well over 15,000,000 chipsets shipped, ATI continues its tradition of product and performance leadership with the Radeon Xpress 200 for Intel," said Phil Eisler, senior vice president and general manager of ATI's chipset business unit, in a statement. "With the release of our fourth generation Intel chipset we continue to raise the bar for integrated graphics, and deliver a true DirectX 9 visual experience that extends to all real-world applications."

Guess my new budget system?

Ah, excellent, thanks for finding that. I'll be using this to replace my dual P3 AD/File/Print server at home. Just wanted to make sure I can upgrade it in the long run, as you can't with the 915g chipsets and it appears Dell is the only one with 945g chipsets right now.

Well it's a little better than GMA900. DDR2 != value, though....
Whoops... it appears to be a DDR1 solution for now! Whew! :)

Worth a peek!

WOW! The "Deluxe" version of this mobo comes with a built-in embedded TV tuner! That's incredible! What a sensational value... Like an X300SE "All-in-Wonder" built in for "free"! :D

Hot dog!
